Where are you located?
I work out of a private studio in Columbia, Maryland.
What is a Handpoked Tattoo?
Handpoke also known as stick and poke or machine-free tattooing is an ancient form of permanent body art where tattoo ink is put in the skin manually dot-by-dot with a tattoo needle.
What is a Machine Tattoo?
Machine tattooing is a contemporary method of permanent body art where tattoo ink is put in the skin by a machine programmed to move the needle up and down.
What is a Hybrid Tattoo?
A hybrid tattoo involves both handpoke and machine application. I'm currently offering designs with machine lining and handpoked shading.
Which Application is Best for Me?
In my experience, handpoked tattoos hurt less than machine tattoos. They also heal “better” given the gentle application. However, pain is subjective! While the process is more gentle, it is much slower compared to machine. Depending on the design, I may recommend one technique over the other based on my current skillset.
Booking:
All booking is done via my booking form on my website. Once my books are filled for a given period, I’ll remove the form until the next booking cycle. If there’s a last minute cancellation, I'll post on my Instagram story until the spot is filled. If you sign up for my newsletter, you'll get access to the booking form 2 hours earlier than those who aren't subscribed.
I prioritize flash and customs I’m most excited about and feel would translate well in my style. Please don’t take it personally if I deny your request- I’m more than happy to refer you to other artists that best suit your idea. I'm only working with black ink and grey wash at this time.
I have the right to refuse service at any time for any reason.

Preparing for your tattoo:
Avoid alcohol and blood thinners for at least 24 hours prior to your appointment. Get a good night’s sleep, eat a good meal, and drink plenty of water. If possible, exfoliate and moisturize the area you plan to get tattooed 1-2 weeks prior to the appointment. Please do not shave the area prior to coming in!
During your appointment:
Please bring your ID (I only tattoo folks who are 18+). Feel free to bring snacks, water, headphones, etc. to make the experience more comfortable. I have snacks and water to share as well.
You may bring one guest with you to your appointment but please note I’m currently working out of a private studio and space is limited. If you plan on bringing a guest, please give me a heads up prior to your session so I can accommodate.
Aftercare:
You may leave the bandage on for as little as 2 hours and as long as 24 hours. I recommend placing the tattooed area under warm running water to make removal easier. Once the bandage is off, use a mild unscented soap to gently cleanse your tattoo. Follow up with a fragrance free moisturizer (such as Aquaphor) and let your tattoo breathe. Cleanse and moisturize everyday twice a day for the first 2 weeks.
Avoid swimming and soaking in pools, rivers, baths, or hot tubs for at least 2 weeks. Avoid excess sun exposure, sweating, and wearing tight clothing that can cause friction on your new tattoo as it heals. Only touch your tattoo with clean hands and DO NOT scratch or pick at it! While your tattoo heals, it will begin to peel or “flake” (depending on application) or “scale” and will feel slightly itchy. This is normal and should last for a couple days.
If you have any questions or concerns during the healing process, feel free to reach out! After 4 weeks, your tattoo is considered fully healed and ready for touch ups (if needed).
